Thank you, Bill, for all you've done. I listened to you for years while getting ready for work. It will be strange not to hear your voice tomorrow. Enjoy your retirement!

Bill, thanx so much. Worked thru pandemic listening to you at Beacon NY train station on way to NYC. You helped calmed this health care worker. Good luck!

Beacon of the morning, bring us day!
Rising in the depth and dark of night,
Sending us familial warmth, and coffee,
And always bringing musical delight.

We've listened since you first put voice to mic,
And heard you grow "before our very ears";
You've found a place within our many hearts
Which we have nurtured over all these years.

So now we offer you a fond farewell,
And for your journey, blessings from above;
We give to you our wishes for good health,
Longevity and - of course - our love.

Bill, Your voice has been waking me up most mornings for the past 17 years -- when you're not there, and there's no 9:00 Mozart, I get very cranky. I'm happy for you that you're retiring but I expect to be very cranky for the foreseeable future. Thank you for brightening my mornings for so many years -- I will miss you. Be well.

Congratulations Bill. I suppose retirement is a bittersweet proposition. My wife and I
will be saddened by your departure, considering all the wonderful music and melodic personality you bring to our sometimes-hectic mornings. It is hard to consider that a voice from a box could be so impactful.
Good luck in your retirement. And perhaps we can have luncheon someday. I always wanted to do that. - Marisa and Matthew Bateman

Professionalism is far more than a concatenation of simple technical skills or subject knowledge. It embodies human qualities and the force of an individual's unique character. In that comprehensive respect, Winans has been the consummate professional over the several decades I've known him. So my wish for Bill is in the words of our favorite Star Trek character: Live long and prosper.

Thank you for presenting so much great music for so many years. A steady reassuring voice always through great times and scary times. And we learned so much because of you.

Deep gratitude for your passion, humor, musical insights & joy in bringing us delightful music every weekday----you started my day right for many years. I also had the pleasure of hearing you perform live many years ago on your classical guitar.
ENJOY retirement, sleeping in & doing what you want when you want.

Bill, Last month I made the last early-morning breakfast for my son, who completed high school. For 13 years, we listened to you in the morning, amid the rush. I asked him to recall some things from these times. He replied: "You told me that, if we heard Bach from Bill in the morning, I'd think more clearly all day." And, of course, he did! Best regards, Dave Fitzjarrald, Fim do Mundo
